Does the distributor vary between SA councils covered on this site?
No. Every council covered sits within SA Power Networks' single statewide network - SA is one of only two states with just one distributor, alongside Tasmania - the NT and ACT also have a single distributor each, but both are territories rather than states.
If the distributor is the same everywhere, why does my export limit differ from my neighbour's?
Flexible Exports adjusts your limit in real time based on your specific feeder's grid conditions, which can vary within the same council, even the same street. Checking your address directly via SAPN's My Energy portal is more reliable than assuming based on council.
Does my wastewater approval authority vary between these councils?
No. All twelve councils covered are incorporated areas, so the same 6,000 litre/40 equivalent-person council threshold applies throughout. Only unincorporated land, outside any council area, routes straight to the Department for Health and Wellbeing regardless of size.
