Citrus
Lemons, oranges, and their relatives
Frequently Asked Questions
Why isn't my citrus tree fruiting?
Young trees need 2–3 years before fruiting begins, but if an established tree isn't producing, the most common causes are inconsistent watering, insufficient feeding, or the graft union having been planted too deep or too shallow.
Do I need to protect citrus from frost?
It depends on the variety — lemons and mandarins are relatively cold-hardy, but lime is genuinely frost-tender and needs a warm, sheltered position in any zone with real winter cold.
