A permaculture planning concept organising a property by how often you need to visit each area (Zone 1 closest to the house, visited daily; Zone 5 furthest, rarely visited) - not to be confused with the climate zones (Tropical, Subtropical, Warm Temperate, Mediterranean, Cool Temperate, Arid) used throughout this site.
